About the show
Nominated for Best Musical Production at the Black British Theatre Awards, Jamaica Love is the Windrush musical everyone is talking about. It has toured some of the country’s best theatres, including sold-out shows at Alexandra Palace and in the West End, and comes to Fairfield Halls for one night only — its final London performance of the 2026 season.
It is a musical drama about the relationship between Britain and the Caribbean, told through Jamaica because of the extraordinary music that has come from one small island. Written and directed by Mervyn Weir, it features legendary vocalist John McLean, Celia Wickham-Anderson of Black Voices, and a live band playing ska, rocksteady and reggae.
